Northway Health was founded by Nikita Komarov, Certified Athletic Therapist (AT) and Registered Physiotherapist (PT). Prior to attending McMaster University School of Rehabilitative Science, where he earned a Masters in Physiotherapy, Nikita completed a degree in Kinesiology and Health Science as well as Athletic Therapy at York University.
Throughout his studies, Nikita has had the opportunity to work with varsity programs such as York University tennis as well as University of Toronto men’s hockey and soccer. In addition, he has spent several years providing on-site medical coverage for high-school sports in the Greater Toronto Area including rugby, football and track & field.
Following completion of his studies, Nikita has continued to pursue his passion for orthopedics and sports medicine in clinical practice. He is currently a PT at a sports medicine clinic in Vaughan, Ontario, treating everyone from elite athletes to recreational runners and recovering post-surgical patients getting back to their daily routines.
Nikita is also an AT with Toronto FC Academy, where he has the pleasure to work and develop some of Canada’s top soccer talent. Since graduating McMaster, Nikita has taken several post-graduate courses to advance his skill set in manual therapy, soft tissue mobilization, biomechanics and rehabilitation.
